Mn-Zn (Manganese-Zinc) ferrites are generally used for lower frequency applications (typically under 1 MHz) where high initial permeability and high saturation flux density are strictly required, such as in SMPS transformers and broadband communications. Conversely, Ni-Zn (Nickel-Zinc) ferrites exhibit much higher electrical resistivity, making them the optimal choice for high-frequency interference suppression and RF applications up to hundreds of MHz.

Selection heavily depends on your target operating frequency and temperature. For frequencies between 100kHz and 500kHz, our 6H40 or 6H45 materials offer excellent balance between high saturation and low core loss. If your design pushes above 500kHz up to 1MHz+, specialized materials like 7H series are necessary to mitigate rapid temperature increases caused by high-frequency power losses.
